Key Dates & Competition Rounds

Online Selection Round (MCQ): December 31, 2025 (from 06:00 PM)
Regional Round - 1: On 3rd January @ Shahjalal University of Science & Technology
Regional Round - 2: On 10th January @ Rajshahi University
Regional Round - 3: On 17th January @ Chittagong College
National Round: 31st January @ Dhaka University (for regional winners and Dhaka participants)

Participants may choose their preferred regional center based on their location.

Prizes & International Opportunities

High School & College Winners

Top-performing students will represent Bangladesh at the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) 2026 in China and other prestigious international events (e.g., World Economics Cup) along with regional and national awards.

University Students

Can compete up to the national level to win exciting regional & national awards and may proceed to a special case competition.

Team Selection Process

The path to IEO 2026:

1

Online Selection Round (MCQ)

Selects 300 students for each regional center (Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet), and 500 for the Dhaka & Other Regions round.

Regional Round (Theory & MCQ)

Top 60 participants from each regional round will advance to the Dhaka round for the National Competition.

National Round (Theory & MCQ)

The top 50 contestants from the school and college levels will proceed to the Team Selection Camp.

4

Team Selection Camp

Focuses on MCQ, Theory, and Business Case Solving. The Top 5 contestants will qualify for the International Economics Olympiad 2026. Other selected participants may compete in the World Economics Cup and Asian Economics Cup.
